The OIT Technical Support Services group provides firewall installation and support services to departments with higher security requirements due to the nature of their data. Technical support staff will meet with the department IT staff to obtain the current infrasturcture information, obtain the details of the requirements and develop a recommended scope of work with the an estimated quote. OIT technical staff coordinate with the OIT Telecommunications Division staff to ensure appropriate network configuration requirements for the firewall deployment.
- Departments with security upgrade recommendations from Internal Audit can hire OIT Technical Support Services for firewall installation.
- Departments that must meet PCI compliant status can hire OIT Technical Services to assess security needs and implement the recommendations.
