Admin Portal Page

Admin Portal Page

The Admin Portal page contains links to information and webtools which may be of use to Mailman Owners/Administrators. It requires a unique RU netID to login.

All Mailman Webtools require a Rutgers NetID to login. No central authority exists to determine who owns which usernames on which systems and Mailman has no way to determine if a 'bob@system1.rutgers.edu' is the same person as 'bob@system2.rutgers.edu'. In order to improve security, Mailman has adopted the Rutgers University Network Identifier, developed by the Office of Information Technology.

The adminstrative webtools will only display Mailman lists for which you have an administrator address in the format of either NetID@rutgers.edu or one of the approved Rutgers email addresses.

If you do not have an account on one of those systems, you may be eligible to create a netid@rutgers.edu account. You can do this by going to Rutgers University Network Identifier web page  and activating your NetID.

Mailman Survey

You may leave comments or suggestions regarding the Mailman service and/or customer support for the service (including this manual) by following this link.

Mailman Administrative Links

This leads to a list of links to the configuration pages for each publicly listed Mailman list hosted at email.rutgers.edu. This is the same list of Mailman mailing lists that is linked from the main Mailman page, however, the links on this page go to the configuration pages for those lists instead of the information pages about those mailing lists.

Rutgers Mailman Admins Forum

This is a link to the information page about the Rutgers Mailman Admins Forum mailing list. This list is intended to facillitate communication and discussion among list adminstrators/owners of Mailman lists at Rutgers. While Rutgers staff do watch the list, it is not an official part of support for Mailman.
