The Loree Laptop Lounge can be found in the Cook/Douglass Computing Center. Located next to the Loree Office Building's lecture halls, the laptop lounge is a collaborative work space for guests who prefer to use their laptops over provided lab machines. The lounge offers a relaxing area for general use with plenty of outlets to charge up various devices. A wireless access point is located in the lounge to ensure a speedy and stable WiFi connection through both RUWireless and RUWireless_Secure. A consultant can be found on duty in the lounge to help with technical issue such as wireless printing or WiFi connectivity.
To answer any questions and provide general support, lab consultants can be found in Room 9 as well as the Laptop Lounge during general hours of operation. Lab hours of operation can be found here. As the site serves as the main computing center for the Cook/Douglass campus, lab supervisors and ResNet certified consultants can be found at this location. These student workers will be able to assist with user account issues such as password changes as well as troubleshoot and escalate personal technology issues for walk-ins.
